Healthcare Assistants

Our Health Care Assistants are Amy Wilson and Abby Kitchen. You can make appointments with Amy or Abby for a range of treatments and support, including:

  • Blood tests
  • Routine health checks
  • Blood pressure checks (including 24 hour monitoring)
  • Breathing tests
  • Flu vaccinations

Phlebotomist

Maleehah is our phlebotomist and works across healthcare and our administrative team.

Nurse Manager

Our Nurse Manager is Vicky Chiverton

The main role of the Nurse Manager is to enable the Nursing Team to work effectively to provide a high quality service to patients and to effectively work with other agencies.

Practice Nurse

Our Practice Nurse is Marie Harvey. Marie works Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and is mainly based at Abbey Lane Surgery

  • Health promotion and healthy lifestyle advice
  • Asthma advice
  • Diabetes advice
  • Wound and dressings
  • Checks for people with high blood pressure every six months

  • Cervical smears
  • Ear syringing
  • Overseas travel advice

We have a new addition to our Practice Nurse Team, Karli Holmes. Karli has joined us from Community where she worked as a District Nurse and is currently being supported as she starts her new career as a Practice Nurse. Karli will work predominately work at Totley Rise but will on occasion works across both sites. You can make an appointment with Karli for a range of treatments and support, including:

  • Wound and dressings
  • Checks for people with high blood pressure every six months
  • Heart disease monitoring
  • Ear syringing

Midwife

The midwifery Team have weekly clinics every Tuesday afternoon.

Pharmacist

Amy Khoo is our practice pharmacist and also holds a qualification as pharmacist prescriber. Her primary role is adding medication to patient records following advice from hospital and answering medication queries from patients or other members of the healthcare team. Amy can sign prescriptions under certain conditions, and undertake some annual reviews for example asthma.

Attached Staff

The practice has access to a pool of qualified professionals including District Nurses, Health Visitors, Link Workers and Psychological Therapists. .
